What Is the 50/50 Initiative?

"And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed Him." (Luke 5:11)  When the disciples heard the Lord's call on their lives, they left their ships, their nets, their fish, their income- their whole livelihood- to follow the call to be fishers of men.

God is calling us to carry the Gospel to the country of South Africa. At the end of August, we will be leaving life as we know it to follow this call to be fishers of men. Our early days of deputation will be some of the most crucial in fund raising. We will be launching out without regular income, and have set a goal to quickly reach 30% of our support in order to meet our current living expenses. For this reason, we've created the 50/50 Initiative.

It is our prayer and desire that God would burden the hearts of 50 individuals to permanently partner with us in the following two ways:

1. A prayer commitment

Would you commit to pray for our family and ministry once a week? We have seen the power of prayer evidenced in our lives repeatedly in our past 10 years of pastoral ministry. More than anything else, we desire to have committed prayer partners as we launch into our new mission field.

2. A financial commitment

It is our desire that the 50 individuals who partner with us in prayer would be the same ones who commit to giving to our ministry. We ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with us in this initiative for a minimum of $50 per month.
